ABOUT
Emmanuel Balderrama Moreno is an interdisciplinary artist based in Aurora, Colorado whose works reflect the ugly, dull, superfluous, and macabre realities of living in the 21st century.
He works often in the realms of appropriation within the traditional 2D mediums irreverently riffing on the western art historical canon while bolstering the beauty in the obscure and grotesque.
As a performer he continues his societal critiques through extreme sonic displays of endurance, violence, and absurdity.
He has exhibited and performed throughout Denver at venues such as Bell Projects, PlatteForum, Emmanuel Art Gallery, as well as a number of DIY venues and vacant warehouses. Emmanuel is currently seeking a BFA from Metropolitan State University of Denver and manages The Visual Media Department, an experimental art gallery within The DMV a larger D.I.Y. music venue.
